10. Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links

Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links is a great stylized Yu-Gi-Oh experience. The game is made mostly for the fans of the anime since it has a bit different rules than the TCG version. You can choose a character from the anime before you make a deck and each character has multiple skills that synergize with certain playstyles.

The overall rules are different from the real TCG experience, but it's still fairly the same. Duel Links is just a simplified version. It’s still a great game with interesting events and reasons to come back to it. However, it requires a lot of grinding and your free time to create useful decks to climb in ranked.

9. Slay The Spire 

Slay The Spire is a little bit different from the other games on this list. It’s not a PVP card game. It is a dungeon-crawler roguelike that integrated the elements of a TCG in its core gameplay.

Slay The Spire is a game in which you choose a character before starting your run. Your goal is to climb the Spire while battling progressively harder monsters. As you’re playing you slowly add and remove cards from your deck, which determines your playstyle.

8. Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale

Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale is a roguelike dungeon crawler with elements of strategy and deck building mixed in. The art style is very interesting, it’s a cartoony art style that’s maybe slightly unsettling, but in a charming way.

The gameplay consists of building up your deck as you play through the game. And during combat instances, you have a lot of resource management to think about. While you’re fighting with the enemies, you could sacrifice your damage output for money or health and vice-versa. It’s a pretty unique game that’s certainly good for some casual fun.

7. Shadowverse CCG

Shadowverse is a game that feels and plays quite a bit like Hearthstone. However, the vastly different JRPG art style and the unique ability to evolve every unit that can be played in-game, make this game stand out from the mass of Hearthstone clones.

Shadowverse features 8 different classes which all have their playstyle and cards you can unlock and combine. Each class is genuinely interesting and diverse, especially if you enjoy the anime art style that this game has.

6. Pokemon TCG Online

Pokemon TCG Online is the virtual adaptation of the Pokemon card game. It functions the same as the real-life TCG, but the game makes it easier to create multiple interesting decks since the cards are cheaper and the game gives you a lot of currency.

The game has rather simple rules that make it easy to get into it. It also doesn’t take too long to make a good deck that you can use in games. If you’re a pokemon fan that buys real TCG cards, you will also be rewarded with packs in-game which is pretty cool if you ask me.

5. Magic: The Gathering Arena

MTG Arena is the digital adaptation of the well-known originator of modern card games - Magic: The Gathering. It follows the same rules as the real-life TCG, with cool animations and a simple interface.

The rules of MTG are simple and widely known, but if you don’t know them already, the game has a simple tutorial that will tell you everything you need to know. MTG Arena is a popular game with a large fanbase, but still, you should expect a lot of grinding if you wish to make a meta deck.

4. Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is a game that was recently released. It is a step-up from Duel Links in terms of how similar it is to the real TCG. There’s a large variety of cards in the game and it's really easy to choose a deck type you like and gather the necessary resources to build it.

It plays the same as TCG Yu-Gi-Oh, but it has a different ban list. The game has been slightly slowed down because it doesn’t have all of the best cards that are used in the TCG, but the game is still quite fast and has a nice change of pace.

3. Hearthstone

Hearthstone is a card game that takes place in the World Of Warcraft universe. It is one of the first online CCGs, but it's certainly the first very popular one. The gritty aesthetic that makes you feel like you’re in a fantasy tavern while playing the card game is rather unique and interesting.

Hearthstone has a lot of interesting classes and heroes you can play. Each class has unique cards that greatly change the way you’re playing the game. Unfortunately, Hearthstone has a pay-to-win wall that may prevent you from unlocking your full potential without grinding or paying a bit of money.

2. Gwent

Gwent is a card game that takes place in the Witcher universe. It’s probably the most unique card game that I’ve seen. It doesn’t play like any other game where your goal is to bring your opponent to 0 HP, your goal is to build points on the board, ruin your opponent’s strategy and prevent him from ruining yours.

The Witcher has some beautiful dark fantasy art that translates perfectly to a card game. It features 6 factions that you can use to create your deck. Each faction has different leaders and different core mechanics. 

1. Legends Of Runeterra

Legends Of Runeterra is a card game that takes place in the League Of Legends universe. It’s a great card game to start playing if you’re a beginner since it has relatively simple rules that are easy to learn but hard to master. The Runterra universe is beautiful and filled with all kinds of interesting creatures, buildings, and lore.

Legends Of Runeterra is not a game that will milk your wallet if you want to be good at it. You can unlock every card in the game slowly as you play the game often. It has a lot of great features that took inspiration from the best card games, but it also has a lot of its interesting mechanics that complete the experience of Legends Of Runeterra.
