Truly a step up from Starcraft: Broodwar. Turning an already legendary game into near perfection.

Nothing can beat the legendary Starcraft: Broodwar, but this sequel does it justice.

While we were waiting for SC2 and Blizzard were posting info about the new units and maps on their site, some people foolishly cried out "All this waiting and they are giving us the same game just with new graphics!" Yes. Yes, they did give us almost the same game. Almost the same but also a bit improved. And there was no better thing for them to do. All you can do about perfection is to just dust it and polish it a little. That's why it's called "perfection".

As far as gameplay goes, Blizzard figured that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Under the shiny coat of paint, this is the same game people fell in love with back in the late 90’s – and it’s everything a fan could have wanted.

I have been a Starcraft fan since the days of "Brood War", and after years of wait, Blizzard has not disappointed. Cutting edge technology and visuals bring Blizzard's trademark cut-scenes to life, and the story fully delivers on all the hype. The new units have added more balance in the online PvP arenas, and I can see this game being played even after a decade after it's release.

Starcraft 2 has graduated from much more than a game, to a way of life for many people. Thriving in it's online game mode, SC2 operates as an RTS game, a squeal to one of the most successful ever. Allowing you to build up from the bottom and take out your opponent, SC2 will leave you constantly thinking about how to improve your play. Be prepared for your new way of life..

This game continues after Brood War and the gameplay improved vastly from its old gameplay improving its graphics and its storyline. The storyline is exciting as well. Adding all the suspense and the huge hype, Its the game of the decade!

There might be a story mode, but Starcraft has always been about three things: player vs player, APM, and winning. That's not to say that, you have to be a pro to play. Laddering can still be fun at lower ranks. Blizzard match making matches players with similar skills together, so games feel even, even if you can't make 100 actions per minute. Personally, I like to play the tower defense games; they're actually rather fun!

SC2 starts after Broodwar, with Raynor trying to hunt down his nemesis, Mengsk. Gone are the limited selection boxes, allowing you to control your whole army at once. Each race feels roughly the same, but differences are thrown in with their unique macro command. After each level you get a hub, where you can chat, and pick your next level. You get different units, with strengths and weaknesses to each. It also allows you to go to a level, get a unit, and come back if you were having difficulty.

As a Starcraft fan from the beginning, Starcraft II retained all the greatness from the original. The game has an incredible story, compelling characters and is easy to immerse yourself. Rayner's story is engaging, and it does an excellent job of bringing new players into the story.

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty is quite simply the best game I have ever played. The story line grabs you and never lets you go. Combined with the stunning graphics in both game play and cinematic sequences the game is very visually pleasing. The game play improves upon the original Starcraft and adds new combat units that add a new dimension to the game play. Another success from Blizzard.
