If you are a rage-quitter dont play it. If you like a dark murky challenging game this is a must play.

In this sequel, Dark souls continues to be a really hard, challenging and exciting game. This RPG has all the features that the players like to see, well done locations, action, story and a lot of dying, without it, would not be Dark Souls.

After a few hours of punching walls, screaming at your TV, and kicking your cat, you will learn to love Dark Souls II. You will never know anything more satisfying than conquering Drangleic as you fight your way through hordes of monsters, traps, overwhelming bosses, and - your greatest enemy of all - ledges...

Dark Souls II is a challenging, partially-multiplayer game designed to make the player feel lonely. The atmosphere and the characters give off a powerful feeling of hopelessness which makes victory all the more satisfying. DSII fixes some of the PvP issues that DSI had, but also creates some of its own. Have fun dying.

This is my second favourite RPG... after DS1! It is hard to assess it on its own merits and not constantly compare it to its predecessor. You have more choices earlier on and less so later, the opposite to the first one. While praiseworthy for allowing for an open exploration of large swathes of the world, it does mean that if you keep dying, you can just go somewhere else. Nonetheless, great storytelling, some wonderfully scenic locations, and literally hundreds of hours of fun... and dying!

On it's own, Dark Souls 2 is a mystifying game that urges players to explore, train, and die repeatedly until you overcome it's many challenges. Compared to Dark Souls, however, it is an easier game in many ways, which makes it the perfect entry point for the fledglings but disappointing for the veterans.

Repetition was never my thing. Until I got this game. The whole game is not self explanatory at all and pushes players to explore, try out tactics and find out what every item does, to make their own story or try to understand what some things could mean. Like what does it mean when you die 100 times on a boss battle? Usually, it means that you need to try harder :D Combat is fluid, bosses are fun and the rewarding feeling when you beat them is unmatched! A must play!

Returning to the original design of RPGs, the Dark Souls series brings back all the pains of death, game-play that challenges even the best of gamers, and puzzles that will require more than an arrow pointing you the way to solve. In Dark Souls II, you can expect all the thrills the first had to offer with new areas to explore and new enemies to pit your skills against. Just don't expect any more mercy.
