Award-winning video game developer Bethesda Game Studios acts as a division of Bethesda Softworks which currently acts as the publisher for all of its games, starting from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for PlayStation 3.

 Executive producer Todd Howard Is the current leader of Bethesda Game Studios, while Robert A. Altman acts as the Chairman and CEO of ZeniMax Media, parent company of video game publisher Bethesda Softworks and its developer, Bethesda Game Studios.

Christopher Weaver was the founder and original CEO of Bethesda Softworks, parent of Bethesda Game Studios.

American author, entrepreneur and developer Cristopher Weaver was the sole founder and CEO of Bethesda Softworks, which was established in 1985 originally as a division of Media Technology Limited. During his time at Bethesda Softworks, Christopher Weaver acted as one of the creators and as an executive producer of The Elder Scrolls role-playing series.

In 1999, ZeniMax Media acquired Bethesda Softworks and its parent company Media Technology Limited, with Christopher Weaver and Robert A. Altman acting as co-founders.

Christopher Weaver eventually left Zenimax Media and is currently a professor of computational media in the College of Integrative Sciences at Wesleyan University in addition to teaching Comparative Media Studies and Engineering departments at MIT.

Robert A. Altman is the present Chairman and CEO of ZeniMax Media, and in turn, Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios.

In 1999, Robert A. Altman, along with colleague Christopher Weaver, co-founded American media company Zenimax Media, the successor to Media Technology Limited, Bethesda Softworks' previous parent company.

After the establishment of video game developer Bethesda Game Studios in 2001 and following the division between Zenimax Media subsidiary Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios as publisher and developer, Robert A. Altman has acted as CEO for both companies.

Apart from his role in the video game industry, Robert A. Altman is also a member of the Advisory Board of The George Washington University Law School.

Since its opening in 2001, Bethesda Game Studios has been the author of some of the best known titles in the video game industry, the critically-acclaimed franchises The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
