Steppenwolf, Justice league's new big bad has killed Wonder Woman with a brutal blade to the back in the comic books so depending on how close Zack Snyder is following the comics, which seems pretty close judging from his previous films we could be seeing the death of Wonder Woman in this movie. We all know Zack Snyder likes to impress fans instead of the critics with action, costume and sequences straight out of the comic book.

For those of you who don't know Steppenwolf (played by Game of Thrones actor Ciaran Hinds) survived an encounter with Doomsday, the genetically-engineered monster who kills Superman in Batman V Superman, first appeared in The New Gods and is part of the team Darkseid's Elite.

Steppenwolf was created by Jack Kirby who originally worked for marvel co-creating characters like the X-men team, Hulk, Captain America, Thor and fantastic 4 but soon jumped ship to DC comics after some disputes in 1970 about marvel not treating him very well. His abilities, besides being an immortal God, is Superhuman Strength, Durability and Longevity, he is also an expert tactician and wields an Electro-axe. He lead the military on Apokalips, a planet ruled by Darkseid and rides around on a high tech hover bike.

Steppenwolf is the brother of Heggra (Darkseid's mother) which makes him the Uncle of the famous Darkseid who should be appearing in future movies assuming they follow the comics. Steppenwolf hasn't stopped his killing spree at Wonder Woman, He has gone on to kill Superman and also Batman through making him sacrifice himself in the Prime Earth Universe, things weren't looking to good for the Justice League team. However, Steppenwolf has been killed by the Clock King and Bizzaro (Brutaal) from earth 2, so we will have to wait and find out how Zack Snyder handles this epic battle and who he will decide to kill off in the new Justice League movie.
