Civilization 6 Releases New DLC "Nubia"

Civilization - the greatest game ever?

Get ready for some more late nights ahead as you get stuck into the dreaded … “one more turn” fix that is Civilization. In its continued expansion of different civilizations of the world, the newest face to the series is the Nubian empire led by Queen Amanitore.

The Nubians have some distinct advantages over other civilizations, especially in the earlier parts of the game, where they are able to produce the Pitati Archer. This bowman is a stronger and faster version of the Archer that it replaces. In addition, however, the Nubians have a Civ ability that gains them 50% extra production towards ranged units and these ranged units gain experience 50% faster than normal!

What does this mean in simple terms? Let's just say that you really want to focus your efforts towards gaining the Archery technology as quickly as possible so that you can take advantage of these benefits. If you can implement this early in the game, you will have a monster of a war making machine that should help you expand quickly.

Other unique features of the Nubia DLC include the district production bonuses when combined with a Nubian Pyramid. These bonuses are further enhanced on or near desert tiles and in addition to production bonuses they also yield Faith and Food enhancements when combined with other buildings properly.

Queen Amanitore of Nubia can help you lead your civilization to an easy early domination victory if played well. In addition to the Nubian Civilization DLC you will also gain access to a new “Gifts of the Nile” Scenario.
