7. World of Tanks

Ever wondered how fun a game would be if it was filled with large realistic tank battles? Well, World of Tanks will answer that for you, the popular free-to-play multiplayer game filled with intense and exciting gameplay.

World of Tanks is a tanker’s dream come true. It’s the first team-based online multiplayer game that includes realistic armored tank warfare that is fun for all gamers, even if you know nothing about tanks.

The game includes over 150 historically accurate armored vehicles from many nations, such as the USA, Germany, USSR, UK, and many more. Every tank can be upgraded and completely customized to your way of playing by putting a different paint on, adding different kinds of ammo rounds and upgrades, and so on.

Take control of one of the powerful German tanks.

You can’t just go solo and win. This isn’t a run and gun game. Teamwork is key to victory. Everyone has their part in these intense but short 15 v 15 matches, so give it your best and show the team what you’re capable of.

With well-balanced battles and quick matchmaking, the matches rarely go over 15 minutes. The objective is to capture the opposing teams point, or you can just destroy all the enemy tanks on the battlefield. These matches can be really close wins, or rather easy dominations.

World of Tanks has progressed a good amount ever since its worldwide release in 2011. Improved graphics, more maps, more tanks, more content. The game continues to grow thanks to its straightforward and strategic gameplay that keeps both casuals and pros coming back.

8. Counter Strike: Global Offensive

We’ve all heard of Counter-Strike, and have probably played one of the games in the franchise at some point. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Is the fourth game in the franchise, developed by Hidden Path Entertainment and published by Valve. The game features small, team-based first person shooter maps where, once you die, it’s over, no re-spawn until the next round. So, be careful what you do, as your death may make the difference between winning, and losing.

As any Counter-Strike game, Global Offensive is an objective, team-based multiplayer FPS (first-person shooter). Join the Terrorist team if you like planting bombs and AK47s, or the Counter-Terrorist team if you like defusing bombs and M4A1s. The game’s objective isn’t just about bombs, though, that’s just one of the game modes the series is most known for. You have other game modes such as Hostage rescue, Deathmatch, and so on. The game has short rounds that end when everyone on one of the teams is dead or the objective is accomplished.

At the start of each match you purchase weapons and equipment using the money that the game rewards you based on how good you and your team did in the previous round. You can lose money if you kill a teammate or hostage, but if you don’t go trigger happy and complete objectives or kill enemies instead of your pals, then you get money. You also get some money after the end of each round, but you get more if you’re on the winning team.

Ah, the good ol' Dust II is back and still remains popular after many years.

Don’t worry about failing at the start. Instead, learn from your mistakes. A few hits are all that’s needed to take you down, so think carefully what your next move will be. The common guns blazing style of regular first-person shooter titles don’t apply here. Teamwork is key.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is, like all the other ones in the franchise, a great team-based shooter.  Improved visuals and more content is enough to keep the game feel a bit more modern yet still keep the old classic Counter-Strike gameplay. Popular on the E-sports scene, this game and the franchise itself continues to remain a classic to this day, to pros and new players alike.

It combines up all these genres and creates a huge battlefield of thousands of troops fighting it out on a massive scale.

There’s also a PvP (Player vs. Player) system where you can show off your skills and prove what a ninja boss you really are.

The game features three classes to choose from: Berserker, Gunslinger and Spellsword. You have full control of your character and, just like any RPG, you can run around and slash your enemies with your fellow troops following and helping you out. As any RTS, you can control your units and use them strategically to take down walls and provide advantages.

With stunning graphics and amazing mix of gameplay, Kingdom Under Fire II is creating such a blend of genres that hasn’t been done before, yet it’s still nailing all the expectations.
