9. Elysium

Elysium relates to the Starcraft universe with the concept of the poor class constantly being overlooked and left to die by those capable, but unwilling to share resources which prevent illness.

Max Da Costa seeks in the film Elysium, medical attention for a lethal dose of radiation acquired during an unfortunate accident.

The colonists in the outer systems of the StarCraft universe are subject to Zerg infestations which could have been prevented were the governments willing to expend the necessary resources. Both civilians in the StarCraft and Elysium fictional worlds could have avoided bloodshed had equal considerations been given to human lives regardless of economic status.
